Our Story
A group of women brought together by their passion for growing the Strongwoman sport in Ireland. In 2022 the Strongwoman Ireland Committee was formed. Our aim is to help Irish athletes progress further afield in the sport, reaching International and world levels, and develop the sport of Strongwoman further in Ireland.
The committee comprises of four highly competitive Irish athletes who have competed and podiumed both nationally and globally among many weight classes, with our most decorated member being Ayshea Ullah, 5 x Ireland's Strongest Woman and 2021 OSG Masters World's Strongest Woman. Our other members are 2023 U64 Ireland's Strongest Woman Mary Egan, U82 INSF Ireland's Strongest Woman Sharon Williamson and INSF Ireland's Strongest Woman Kayla Mann.
We sell a range of Strongwoman Ireland merchandise such as the sought after "OG tee-shirt", beanies and mugs. The funds from our merch and our stock go straight back into our Strongwoman Ireland Fund, which is for athletes. Read more about the SWI Fund and how to apply here.
Since our inception in 2022 we have also held competitions across the country, including the very popular SWI First Timer Strongwoman Comp which is making it's comeback this July. We also run the SWI Strongwoman League to bring more competitive women's competition to the country. And! We'll be announcing something extremely exciting very soon!
